A Mandisa Media original
We’re asking men, women, and non-binary people across backgrounds, privately and in their own words. Every story stays anonymous. Every voice shapes the series.
Help bring these stories from conversation to screen.
Support the Series01 / The Question
Across eight standalone worlds, the series asks a difficult question: why do men from different backgrounds struggle to be “good men,” and who gets to define what that means?
Built from real conversations with men, women, and non-binary people, and blended with the creator’s own story, each episode looks at pressure, identity, intimacy, responsibility, and the choices we make when nobody is watching.
Eight episodes.
Eight worlds.
One conversation we keep avoiding.

The conversations have begun.
03 / The Conversation
This series began with real conversations: honest, complicated, unfinished conversations about masculinity, love, fear, responsibility, and the versions of ourselves we perform to get through the day. The voices are anonymous by design. The point is not to put anyone on trial. It is to make room for a conversation big enough to include all of us.
Finding of the month · November
Every man interviewed so far described emotional isolation as a cost. Every one of them spoke about mentoring with hope.

05 / Behind the Lens
Amawi is a Chicago-based director whose award-winning short film WHOLE screened across three continents and now streams on Tubi. This series grows from a belief that the stories we avoid can become the stories that set us free, and that honest filmmaking can invite us into a more useful conversation.
